Portrait of Britain
“‘We cannot continue to ignore the climate crisis. So many issues are tearing our world apart right now but if we don’t start building respect for the environment into policy and process, there’ll be no society to improve. Ordinary people who have any resources to spare can and should support activists. Time is running out.
We can do this!’”
I love the Portrait of Britain Award as it’s one of the few major cultural elements which really captures ordinary life, intimate mundanity and the diversity of our country. I also love that anyone can enter. So it’s a big honour to be one of their selected photos for 2020!
This was captured by Zoe Ranford aka @zowwi at an Extinction Rebellion protest last year.
It’s available in Portrait of Britain vol. 3, published by Hoxton Mini Press
