Danny Dyer Documentary Interview

Dany Dyer and Harold Pinter! An odd combination, you might think, but it’s absolutely true that the great playwright took a young Dyer under his wing and they worked together on several plays throughout their careers. Dyer has used this as a springboard for a new retrospective on Pinter for Sky Arts.

Part of the exploration of his early career included exploring the British tradition of the Repertory company, of which NYT Rep is one of the last still extant.

All of which led to us rehearsing several scenes from our 4 shows in front of Danny and a film crew last year! We chatted to him about our experience of Rep, what makes it unique etc too. I for one am so glad to have done the 9-month intensive. Apart from anything else, nothing else could have prepared me for doing 2 shows at once at the RSC!
