BADC Stage Combat - I Passed!

I got too jealous of all the amazing actor combatants I’ve worked with last year, so decided to join the fold!
I spent my birthday week this January learning…

• rapier and dagger

• single sword

• and unarmed combat

weapons systems for my BADC Standard Qualification, training with ID Fight school. I was paired with amazing MT performer and dancer @Pea_Royal1 and trained by @NolanDave for the week, building up from basics like ‘en garde’ to fancy moves like the ‘Mulin’ and ‘Glissade’. We performed a final fight that moved through all three disciplines, using an argument from The Sisterhood by Moliere.

And today I found out - I PASSED WITH MERIT!

I can now move on to develop these skills and learn new weapons systems.

Next up, I’ll be swashbuckling in March - watch out world!
