Modest Opens in Hull and Heads on Tour!
Our drag king cabaret-inspired play about hit Victorian painter Elizabeth Thompson is officially open!
Written by Ellen Brammar (I Hate Alone) with music by Rachel Barnes, Modest is a good night out co-directed by Luke Skilbeck (Milk Presents) and Paul Smith (Middle Child). It features movement direction by Tamar and Jo, set design by QianEr Jin, costume design by Terry Herfield and sound design by Eliyana Evans.

We had our first show at Hull Truck with a fabulous audience and ran for a week there, including a raucous press night and some lovely critical responses.
Two nights in Sheffield included some radical re-staging (I’m learning the joys of touring!) and a standing ovation.
We’ll travel on to Newcastle, Ipswich, Scarborough, Leeds and then perform at the Kiln in London from June 29 to July 15th. Bring it on!
