LADIES, GENTS AND NON-BINARIES, WELCOME TO…
Ladies, gents and non-binary friends, welcome to Pecs…
Pecs Drag Kings is an all-female/non-binary theatre & cabaret company who’ve been creating critically acclaimed shows for the LGBTQ+ community since 2013. Through our drag king cabarets and theatre shows, we explore gender identities, politics & sexuality, to create cultural space for queer women, trans* & non-binary folk.
Our shows are sexy, raucous and highly entertaining, using songs, dances and comedy to celebrate inclusivity, queerness & community. Pecs have performed to sold-out audiences at theatres, galleries, pride events & festivals across the UK including The Glory, Soho Theatre, Latitude Festival, The Royal Academy of Art and The Yard.
The company was formed in August 2013, at a rowdy party in South London, via multiple gin-and-tonics, lots of shouting about gender, and a serious amount of serious dancing.
Since then, we’ve been charming our way through London’s cabaret scene, leaving a trail of delicious cologne in our wake. We’ve performed to consistently sold out audiences at a range of (dis-)reputable venues including Soho Theatre, Tate Britain, Southbank Centre, The Royal Academy of Art, The Glory, Latitude Festival, The Yard Theatre and Camden People’s Theatre, as well as Pride Festivals across the UK and independent arts festivals.
Our feature-length shows explore the performativity of gender. We unleash our inner masculinity, undermine the patriarchy and push the boundaries between cabaret and theatre through our particular brand of searing satire and down right silliness.
We have run outreach workshops with the Arcola, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Northampton University & the Roundhouse & were guest facilitators for Soho Theatre Young Company.

The Drag King Cast is a brand new comedy-cum-queer-culture podcast. Esteemed kings John Travulva and Loose Willis are used to performing in front of screaming crowds. During lockdown, gazing at themselves in the mirror hasn't quite cut it, so they're bringing the world of kinging to delight your ears instead.
Expect interviews with the best Drag Kings and Things on the scene, dips into queer history, sex and fashion through the ages with your favourite kingly experts and a delicious sprinkle of smashing the patriarchy.
Is that a 5-star rating in your pocket, or are you just pleased to hear us?
